I enjoyed the movie, I found it to be very inspirational. There were a couple dull moments, but overall it was a great watch. Nichelle Nichols played a huge role in her time and even now, she continues to inspire many. She was crucial to women and African Americans in the opportunity of space travel and television. I would highly recommend watching this movie.

It was an awesome movie for anyone who loves learning about space, the origin of NASA, the origin of Nichelle Nichols, or someone who wants to learn about someone in just a little under two hours. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5/5 is because of the length. I wish it was just a bit longer. Maybe roughly two hours. Other than that though, perfect movie in my eyes.

Great film about women in STEM! The NASA space program. And Star Trek impact on all our lives.

Masterfully planned and beautifully edited, "Woman in Motion" tells the true story of how Nichelle Nichols used her fame as Star Trek's Lt. Uhura to literally change the face of the U.S space program. Her tireless recruitment of Blacks, women, and candidates from other underrepresented groups for NASA's astronaut corps in the 1970s and 80s helped make America's presence in space more diverse and inclusive. Entertaining and inspiring, "Woman in Motion" conveys Nichols' optimistic belief that, when anyone, celebrity or not, sees something wrong in society, they can help make it right. All can answer the sacred vocation of building a more generous, compassionate, and just present and future. —Rev. Michael S. This documentary absolutely astonished me. It was so wonderful to watch such a strong, witty, and good-humored woman tell the elaborate story of her extensive career. Absolutely recommend this movie to anyone that wants to watch an extraordinary story about the power of advocating for what you believe is right, the amazing opportunities that arise because of it, and the realization that anything is possible.

Woman in Motion is an astonishing portrayal of Nichelle Nichols' life and legacy. Nichelle went from a young actress to the most important figure in the space program. From Star Trek to NASA, her journey has inspired us all. Not only has she affected African-Americans and women, but everyone else in the world. The film has stirred me up and further increased my yearning to comprehend more about space.

Nichelle Nichols is an inspirational and exhilarating persona. She believed and encouraged herself from day one and continued to pursue her dream of becoming a ballerina. Usually, people study for one career and stick to it throughout their life. However, she went from being a ballerina to a Star Trek actress to a NASA scientist. She taught me to believe in myself. I am surprised and shocked that I have never heard about her personality before. Nichelle Nichols showed that nothing is impossible; everything is possible, as long as you have faith and hope in yourself. Nichelle Nichols changed the view of gender in NASA. She introduced the role of women in NASA. In the astronaut testing for NASA, the women had outperformed the men. This showed that we shouldn't underestimate women's ability in life. Not only did she introduce the role of women in NASA, but she also introduced the role of people of minority descent. She was one of the first African-Americans to have a job at NASA. She motivated many African-Americans to come to NASA and become astronauts or any other job. She trained hundreds of entrants to become astronauts. After watching this film, my curiosity increased to learn more about the role of gender and race in NASA.

Woman in Motion was a film unlike any other. When watching a documentary you think as if you will learn a few things but this film taught me things I never had even put any thought into but now I can't stop thinking about how many questions I have yet to answer. This film makes you feel like you can do anything you put your mind to. Woman in Motion teaches us no matter what gender, race, or even background you come from that you are powerful and anything you think you can do, you can.
