It’s basically Alien Underwater. Though we’ve seen this type of sci-fi horror before, Underwater is still a fun popcorn action horror film. It has a strong cast, characters you care about, exciting script, and is very harrowing and suspenseful. I can see why critics haven’t been kind to Underwater as it plays out like a remake of Alien, complete with a strong female protagonist who has a showdown sporting a sports bra and skimpy panties. It’s PG-13 so the violence and gore is more Jaws that Alien. It’s still very enticing. I really enjoyed it.

This was like walking into a movie 40 minutes late and leaving 20 minutes early. It starts at the climax of action with no character development and no explanation of the plot and ends with you wondering what the hell just happened. If you have no understanding of the elder gods you are even that much more worse off. I didnt care about any of these people or what was happening. I wish I could get back time I wasted on this.

I like this adventurous movies. Deep breadthing movies. Hollywood here wins my heart again. Thanks🙏 Long lasting suspense & fear. Full of Dark, and dark creatures. Braveness and bold characters. I love these type of movies where there is a strong fight to live against die. "Do or Die" !!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

It's one of those movies that does take a lot of things from other movies (mostly Alien), whilst injecting its own ideas and themes into the mix. This film will probably be loved by fans of the works of H. P Lovecraft but otherwise people will probably pass on it due to what I said earlier. Overall a 6.5 to 7.

I have seen this plot a million times before but kudos to the special effects team. I actually though it was filmed in a deep pool somewhere - only to find out it was shot using a 'dry for wet' technique which the producers described in the blu-ray extra scenes.

Directed by William Eubank, starring Kristen Stewart. Down in the depths there still isn’t any air to keep this film afloat. Kristen Stewart plays an oceanic researcher who’s team gets stranded at the bottom of the ocean trying to survive while being hunted. This movie actually isn’t as horrible as it’s reviewed to be, I actually really enjoyed it at parts. For such a low budget horror film the effects and production are done extremely well. The performances including Stewart are all casual for this genre of film, the standout is the whole look of the film. The scares are creative and cliche and go back and fourth, while finale of the movie is a special effects circus. Go into this film with low expectations and by the end you may actually enjoy it.

I thought the performances were good, the movie gave me some chills and jumps. The cameo of a famous old big bad monster was awesome.
