The Secrets We Keep

„The Secrets We Keep" ist ein Thriller-Drama von Yuval Adler… Nach dem Krieg bauen sich zwei Holocaust-Überlebende ein neues Leben in New York auf… Eine solide, gut gespielt und leicht vorhersehbare Geschichte, mit vielen faszinierenden Wendungen… „The Secrets We Keep" ist für mich ein sehenswerter Thriller, der auch zum nachdenken anregen will.

Tasteless revenge porn. Redeemed to a certain extent by Rapace's outstanding performance, but ultimately a relentlessly depressing journey through familiar ground that's been trod before to much better effect. In the end, all three of the central characters are equally despicable, deplorable, morally bankrupt excuses for human beings. All are victims and all are antagonists. Character development is unsure and incomplete, and in one case literally cut off mid sentence, making it impossible to care about any of them. Above all, this film has a thoroughly dark and depressing view of human nature with which I think most would disagree.

What an excellent little former nazi revenge torture thriller by a survivor, not quite as gnarly as say ‘Prisoners' but pretty intense especially with all the close calls to their misdeed being discovered and the shocking ending was perfect!

This was a tightly knit, visually enticing and suspenseful little film that builds slowly and relentlessly towards a shocking conclusion. The acting is flawless and there are lots of fascinating twists and turns to the story.

Minha opinião: Um filme de suspense. Uma trama bem estruturada. Uma boa atuação de Noomi, Messina e Joel. A trama se desenrola pós-guerra onde noomi casa com um médico americano e vem morar em uma cidade do interior de EUA. Já com uma família formada. Mas seu passado que passou durante a guerra volta a tona, quando ela reconhece o rosto de uma pessoa, que trouxe muitas recordações traumáticas. De alguém que abusou na guerra e matou sua irmã. Joel um novo habitante da sua cidade. Ela o sequestra mas quando seu marido descobre, coloca em duvida a razão de sua esposa. Eles trancam Joel no porão da casa. Fazem interrogatório mas ele não confessa, e então se questionam se tudo aquilo é verdade ou um delírio de Noomi. Quem esta falando a verdade ou mentindo. Noomi faz amizade com a esposa de Joel para descobrir mais sobre ele. Até que.............. Roteiro: Um bom roteiro envolvente. Vale apena assistir? Sim Nota: 7

A very deep and partly disturbing movie with an excellent Noomi Rapace. The story is a slow burning thriller based on the suffering of millions of victims of the German Nazi cruelty. Excellent script though sometimes it drags along a bit too slowly. 6/10 points.

Thriller che vive totalmente intorno al dubbio su chi ha ragione tra la protagonista (ottima) Rapace e quello che a sua detta sarebbe stato il suo aguzzino durante la guerra. La suspance si sente, e cresce col passare dei minuti fino ad un finale ottimamente orchestrato. L'inizio invece catapulta un po' troppo velocemente lo spettatore nel fitto della trama, senza dargli il tempo di capire la vita familiare prima dello scossone.

Great movie. Thrilling tense and suspenseful.

Chris Messina was the one shining grace in this film. Overreacted and brutal.
