It was a mediocre film, not really expressive from the animals, it just doesn't feel right!

The Lion King is basically the same as its original, plus some cool graphics and Beyoncé.

The movie was so life like, if only animals could talk. Enjoyed it all.

Its not great or bad but its okay. Its impossible to not compare it to the original. The animation/cgi is stellar, very amazing, perhaps the best ive ever seen and thats why I give it such high rating. Other than that the original is much superior in every way. This movie is almost a scene for scene shot of the original but the dialogue and the voice actors lack passion and drama. The dialogue in pivotal moments that are key to emphasizing emotion in important scenes are changed, and not in a good way, it takes a lot of the power in key scenes out of the film. Powerful moments and statements made in the original are brushed over quickly in this one. It feels rushed, you don't get the same impact as the original which is very unfortunate because this movie is very beautifully done well. It is very beautiful to watch. They should've been kept the same delivery in dialogue if they were going to do a shot for shot remake. The voice actors aren't great either, it seems off. Their performances come off as very stale, like they are reading a book. No emotion is felt at all, seems very weird, throws you out of the movie. Music isn't great either, it doesn't hit at all, seems like they just put it in their for star power. Overall its a decent movie because of its fantastic animation, which is very unfortunate because this movie had A LOT of potential, it could have been really good but Favreau and the actors fail to create anything with substantial emotion. If the director and actors did as well as the CGI creators this movie would've been a tremendous hit, but instead it completely lacks the heart and is void of the spirit that comes from the original.

The Lion King is my favourite movie ever, I love all the original films, I know the songs and the words throughout both films. But the live action was ruined by beyoncé being Nala, i didn't like how she sings the songs, says "lions, attack" like she's in charge and they do as she says, also, the female lion is called a lioness. I feel like she ruined the film and also that actor or who played scar, I was gutted they didn't stick to the original storyline with the hyenas, the original was so much better. it was good, but not amazing. I didn't like the way he voiced scar, didn't even seem to go the same way or similar, he tried to make it his own and he didn't sing the original song. The film isn't one where you're thinking, "oh my gosh, i love it, i want to see it again" it's more, "I hope Beyoncé is definitely not in the The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, the same goes with Donald Glover" The original cast was perfect, the original Nala and scar. Did they even get asked to voice over their original characters in the live action one? The only thing I loved out of the whole entire movie, was Mufasa! Sarabi wasn't voiced by the original Woman, which is a shame. Pumba was perfect and Timon was sort of ok, but Pumba was better. I just hope that The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride is going to be without Beyoncé and Donald Glover. they ruined the film!

I have never seen the cartoon version so to me this was all fresh. It's an okay family romp although the most iconic bit is in the first 5 minutes.

How the characters look could be better (especially pumbaa and timon) . I think this remake was unnecessary but still it's not a bad movie.

I LOVED THIS REBOOT! seriously my favourite "live action" movie! I would honestly love a reboot for the Lion King 2!
