this was great; i'm not sure why critics hated on it so much. it's maybe a little long & kind of drags in a few places, but there's plenty of action & the action is great. more exorcism movies should involve martial arts, haha.

To me the movie is top notch and fantastic. First of all I should mention that this is more of a realistic horror representation based on faith and the real life exorcism incidents which is not like the exaggerated blood filled creepy horror thrillers. The actors portrayed the real human emotions really well like fear, love, and human logical thinking which often doubts the faith. It made me feel sensitive and cry in several scenes. The movies feels like a modern adaptation of the film " the rite" which is based on a true story. The director and the script writer has done their reaserch well on christian theology and also about the anti christ illuminate church and I was shocked to see how accurate they have shown all those details well in the movie.. the details shown in the movie exists in real life and but some of the representations like the burning hand made it feel a bit like a super hero movie. But that was clearly a representation of the of him fighting the evil with the help of his faith and all the good in the world which has really hard to portrayed in a fight scene. But those special effects was great tbh. Though it runs for 2 hrs I was curious what happens next. I should say that Father ahn' s character was portrayed really well with beautiful dialogues and they have deep meaning about faith and they makes more much sense to the Christian believers. I think the reason for not getting much rates for the film is because it resonates more only with only a specific category of people who are Christians and also specially people who knows and fascinated to research about anti christ and illuminate.

Talk about creepy exorcism without explaining the rationale behind it. All you need to know is that there's a clan of demons and there are exorcists who cleanse them. That's it.

Do not pay any attention to the critics. They are giving it bad reviews because the hero in the movie is Christianity. Yes, sadly this is what we have to put up with these days. The fact of the matter is that the movie is AWESOME. Very well written, exiting, etc.

Very well done. There were moments where it dragged a bit but, that could be the style that the director was going for. Small note - with South Korea being as small as it is and being a major K-Drama fan - I recognized many of the sets/filming locations that are used by all the studios.

Special effects are very good. Story is good, but could use some refining. Overall, it's worth watching. Subtitles are fine, and the voice over actually pretty decemt.
