I would have enjoyed the movie more if people would act mature while watching movies… a few girls in there just giggling and talking the whole time

Brian Cox needs to remember he's too good of an actor to accept roles in crappy movies like this.

Don’t watch. Waste of time, should’ve left before the movie ended. Worst plot ever and not even scary.

Was not as scary as I wanted it to be

If you don't fancy yourself a "critic" then this movie is a delightful horror film. It had the classic scares of creepy puppentry along with some cheap thrills. A middle of the road story line. Enough to keep you following along but not too much to lose you along the way. All in all it was a fun film to watch as long as you're not trying to ask too many questions.

It’s a no for me. Would not recommend

The movie was confusing, no real story, not scary, and very poorly made, would not recommend watching

Without a plot, however it was a family choice and it was family time well spent.

Horrible. Dont waste your time. Extremely slow and not scary at all.

Imagine an artsy, scary Kramer vs Kramer. Except it's not boring. Sure, the father-and-mother wage a custody battle over their six-year-old daughter. Acting on par with Kramer vis Kramer and frightening camera work. Watch the cast rise like a reanimated corpse to Brian Cox amazing level acting. "Separation" drips with terrific terror. The scares are split like an ax hewn skull into 31 pieces: Unforeseen WTF shock, creepy Gore-geous doll horror, minimal jump scares, (please don't kill the kid terror), real life divorce dread, psychedelic panic, and outstanding use dark and light fright! All this and… NO in-your-face Hollyweird propaganda. OMG! I could not believe it. NO PC propaganda horror spoilers. I did not feel as if I were watching a cultural reeducation film, locked in a concentration camp. The critics will not like it. Why? The men are NOT ass holes. The men are regular people with ordinary feelings and issues. The women are normal women trapped in the terror of a relationship gone sour. You will not see a lone woman defeat a platoon of crewcut marines. However, you will care intensely what happens to a family caught in the middle of a killer divorce custody horror metaphor. Last but not least, Separation oozes supernatural atmospheres and other worldly characters. Check it out on the big screen, because it looks cool, and you'll love it LOUD!
