Just terrible. So disappointing. Kano and Subzero were the only positives, maybe Sonja. The entire story sucked though so the characters are almost irrelevant. The first 10 minutes of the movie was excellent. What a let down.

Love the movie just didn’t like the addition of Cody. Also he doesn’t even look Asian like “scorpion” his father

As video game adaptions go, this far from the worst of them and can provide a perfectly watchable experience, but never quite reaches the point of being a good movie. This is likely to divide the fanbase, with moments of well executed fan service, yet writing choices that go against the lore. Fights often look good, with mostly great visual effects and decent choreography, however they rarely carry any impact, except for fatalities. The characters are also hit or miss, with standouts like the hilarious Kano but bland characters, such as the protagonist. The acting is mostly pretty good, but the script often ruins performances. The script is the worst part of the film, a poor excuse of connecting different fights together. It is often nonsensical and contradictory to its own rules, and has no redeeming aspects. This film is most likely to only appeal to diehard MK fans or casual audiences looking for a violent action movie with no real substance. 5.5/10

Beyond horrific, CGI is so bad and the acting is horrendous, please go watch the one from the 90's instead of watching this!!!!

The best thing about this film is that it was filled with brutal, bloody and satisfied fights. Music and picture were great. The cast had done their roles quite well. However, everything happened too fast because they try to include many events in just limited amount of time. It made the peak, plot and many thing else less persuasive. Mortal Kombat is a great film if you just want to be entertained.

I had to stop watching this after 40 minutes in or so, the tempo was off, the acting was poorly and I fast forwarded 3x to see the end battle as anything leading up to seemed to be flutter… Take into consideration that martial arts are under serious scrutiny nowadays exposing one fake master after the other makes for a cringy watch at times…

Just as I predicted, this was as extremely fucking stupid. I don't know why I even bothered with this.. curiosity I suppose. No idea why the "chosen ones" were essentially fighters waiting for their mutant power to kick in(well, their 'arcana' anyways). Horrible acting, writing, even the effects looked shitty. This is 100% a fan service movie. I'm no hardcore MK fan, but was this reboot really all that necessary? Hell no. So glad I didn't pay to watch this turd of a movie.
