- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt's no rurouni Kenshin but it's got some kickass cinematography and sequences.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAmazing! I highly recommend everyone to watch Kingdom. It will keep you at the edge of your seat wondering what's going to happen next. It's 2 hours 13 minutes long and I wish it was much longer.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsGreat movies, can't wait til I see the third
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of the best anime/manga adaptations I've seen. As a fan of the anime, this was A1 with excellent choreographed fight scenes that mirrored and captured the energy of the anime. The selection of the parts of the story from the entire arc was well done, maybe an additional 15 minutes could have been added to include a more background story, but it wasn't really needed overall. The actors did a great job conveying the goofyness and seriousness of their characters.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI was hoping for something resembling an historical drama. Instead, I got an admittedly lavish production with fight scenes that are as unrealistic as any kung fu movie from the 70s. And of course, because this is the 21st century, there is a badass but beautiful chick who takes out dozens of guys twice her size. If you can accept the cliched story and Kento Yamazaki's overacting you might enjoy it for the action and production values.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsFun original film that takes a tried and true genre but throws it in a very different time period. Unlike most zombie films, this takes place in the time of swords and melee weapons and that's what helps this movie excel.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat storyline and action scenes that kept me glued to the sofa. We need more Japanese movies and dramas. Reminds me of samurai X
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe movie has a great story! And it is an amazing film! A must watch.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI had a hard time watching, not because of the content but the shaky camera work. Thought I was watching the Blair Witch Project. And why were the translations shown twice? Whatever happened to movies where the action, running scenes are not being filmed with a cameraman running behind them. I get heaches.
