One Cut of the Dead

One of the most unique directing experiences I've watched. For people more familiar with the amateur cinematography, this might not be anything new, but a one-take zombie film with an extra spin is just the freshest thing! I can't say anything more, just watch it!

Not sure why this gets all the hype. Brutal to sit thru the whole thing.

One Cut of the Dead. Rotten Tomatoes gives it 💯%... which is laughable.. I found this film to be BORING A.F.. maybe it's a "Japanese Humor" thing... maybe thats why it made so much money in Japan.. I spent 90 minutes watching this film, waiting to get nervous, scared or laugh.. I laughed once. Alot of American reviewers say "Oh, it gets better towards the end...".. No it didnt get better, it was #^!$$ing STUPID. "JUAN OF THE DEAD"... Was the first Zombie film made in Cuba with "Real Zombies" 😉... THAT movie was funny as fuck... "Train to Busan", a South Korean Zombie film.. was 1000 times better than "One Cut". Who ever thinks "One cut of the Dead" is the #1 Zombie film ever made, must be on drugs The film won alot of praise... mostly in Japan... I can only praise it for turning 25 thousand dollars into 25 million.

Arranco con un corto de una sola toma de zombies, ok, Después paso a ser una película de como se hacia el corto de zombies, ok ponele. Pero cuando llegan los títulos te muestran que así no es porque se ve como hacen el corto. O sea es una película de una película haciendo una película. No se, todo tan meta que yo me perdí jajaja eso si el resultado es entretenido de ver, divertido por muchos momentos y bastante original.

Interesting exercise but never fully comes together

An absolute brilliant idea and experience this was. I really enjoyed the subtitles and all. High quality enjoyment and experience!

This was a delight! Finally watched it and it reminded me so much of the time I made a horror short with some friends a couple years ago. We too attempted to do it as a one shot (just seven minutes and not 35, and with way less people involved), and it's so damn hard. Everything about filmmaking is hard, every unexpected thing that could possibly happen to you WILL happen. So, as I watched the first 30 mins, I was delighted at seeing the craft and the energy of a one shot horror flick on screen, and then I was delighted to see it all come together in the most unexpected and funny way possible. So many details! This film felt so honest and I was with the characters every step of the way. The only negative thing I can say about this: I don't like the look, color saturation etc.
