i don't usually like biopics but I really like this movie. Very good job by Shaka King. Great performance from two main characters

Words can't describe how great this film is. Oscar-snubbed from being Best Picture. One of the greatest films of all-time.

One of the best films I have ever experienced. The acting is spectacular, the music is wonderful, and the directing is superb. The story of Fred Hampton is very important in history, and Shaka King told it the right way.

Weirdly boring which, given the subject matter, is really strange.

It needed more grit. This movie should have been radicalizing.

The best crime thriller since the Departed. And this one is all true which makes it a more unbelievable watch. kaluuya is so hard to understand half the time. His American accent is not very good and when he tries that, mixed with the tenor of the real Fred Hampton, you really need subtitles just for him. But, it's a super thrilling movie and the new director did it like a pro!

Brilliant depiction of a brave man and the betrayal of brave people by the system that exploited and which still exploits and betrays good people to this day. I had to press pause for weeping time because only the hardest heart could fail to grieve. And afterward, I re-watched the first episode of Eyes On The Prize. This film reminded me that white people everywhere need to open their ears and eyes. Knowing history can enable us to change the history of the future by doing something now. We owe it to him, we owe it to them.

Although the script can be sluggish, Daniel Kaluuya embodies Fred Hampton and provides this film with the performance it needs. Again, the script fails with the under-utilization of a brilliant LaKeith Stanfield, but Kaluuya's performance erases most doubt of this film's power.

A well acted, well portrayed telling of a brutal and twisted tale. Always amazing how far ‘we' will go to dress up brutality. Compelling to know that the key people were only in their early twenties. I really like Daniel Kaluuya, and LaKeith Stanfield is impressive too

You could strip this film of its political message, but it still will remain relevant. Judas and the Black Messiah is not just an unflinching drama on racial injustice, but also a hard-hitting tale of the conflict between values, morality, and base self-preservation. The pacing and flow feels bumpy, but Shaka King's talent for storytelling remains evident. Stanfield and Kaluuya both portray the complexity of their characters wonderfully. The postscript is propulsive and deeply affecting.
