Infamous

It's never easy to represent online existence in a feature film and this is another movie that has fallen short. Some serviceable action sequences, though.

Doing it for the 'gram means doing it for, well, nothing - nothing tangible, nothing that lasts, and "Infamous" fares far better when it embraces that kind of bleakness.

It comes off as a lightweight indictment of a generation that actually does care about things.

It's a very thin fable where the lesson's obvious from the beginning... But I have to say that Bella Thorne is very committed to the part, and I really think that Jake Manley has an integrity to this film that makes it a stronger film than it had to be.

[Thorne] is the perfect person to take viewers through the looking glass of Instagram infamy, and that's what makes the clumsiness and shallow nature of Infamous all the more frustrating.

It's hard to imagine a film being released at as wrong a moment as this.
