Far from the best XMen film but the final two battles are pretty fantastic.

Don't understand why people didn't like this movie. Its great. The story, the characters, and music are all very well done.

Unfortunately it was a awful way to end a great saga. Prediction was in the cover. Honestly quite an insult.

I feel guilty for making my eyes watch it, my ears for listening to it, and for the brain cells I lost watching it. Still, it does make last stand seem better.

Boring watch, won't watch again, and can't recommend unless you're just a die hard classic X-Men fan. Let's be clear, its not that Sophie Turner, or anyone else failed to perform, its not that the production value isn't here, its not even that Jessica Chastain's character's race and position was awkward, it's not even that the original story for the Phoenix (a character that doesn't appear in the movie) was the death of Jean Grey and her resurrection followed by a substantial amount of time as that character before she became overwhelmed by the Phoenix powers. This movie is kind of proof that it doesn't work if its not subtle. The problem with this movie is that it fails to make me care about anything, the characters, their motivations, and the containing world. I'm not a classic X-Men fan, I didn't really enjoy "X-Men: Future Past", and Phoenix isn't really a "classic" X-Men thing. So if they're going to re-write it, then they can make it compelling. It just leans on the franchise like its drunk and doesn't care anymore. Its just sad to see performers and production go into a weak script and premise. All that sad, it looks amazing: if you just want to see explosions and action, this should be okay for you.

It stood by the standards of MOST X-men movies ( except Logan), i.e. anticlimactic, the story wasn't that bold yet worth watching if you like X-Men. A ok portrait to the dark phoenix saga. Though fight scenes were awesome. The thing which sucks the most is the ending.

Characters are hardly used or misused and awful CGI takes away from the film. While there is the occasional moment of cool visuals, they are few and far between, leaving the X-men film franchise at fox to go out with a whimper when it deserved so much more.

It was boring and didn't seem to have much going on. I can't even figure out who was supposed to be the bad guy. It didn't seem like anyone was.

It would have been so much better if the continuity wasn’t left outta wack by the moviemakers here. Other than that very big problem, This was a very fitting conclusion to almost twenty years of X-Men Movies by 20th Century Fox Studios. The X-Cast put up great performances, but Sophie Turner, and James Macavoy were the standouts. It’s just that the script and story just got very confusing and sloppy. The movie puts the “Dark” in Dark PhoeniX. The Heel turn of Jean Grey and the Deconstuction of Charles Xavier were interesting and saddening to watch, But the movie had such a great ending I thought
