Bloody Hell

Grierson's maniacal, hyperactive work certainly lives up to its title, thanks to O'Toole's engaging demeanor and comic timing and one hell of a screenplay from Robert Benjamin.

Bloody Hell is blissfully, absurdly over-the-top, but in a twistedly charming way.

It's a buffet of only sour dishes, a rank fete of foulness.

If a comedic horror movie is geared toward an adult audience, based on all the bloody violence in it, that movie better have humor that adults can appreciate, not the childish and dull comedy that makes Bloody Hell a bloody bore.

Its off-beat humor and unrepentant ghastliness make it a delight to watch, chopped up bits of human flesh and all.

The combination of Grierson's talents behind the camera and O'Toole's talents in front of the camera make Bloody Hell a bloody good time.

You won't find many scares but there is plenty of gore to keep the horror fan satisfied. This film knows it's a dark comedy and embraces the fact. No cheap jump scares, just blood, guts, and laughs making this an entertaining thrill ride.
