Blood From Stone

This is the best vampire movie I've seen in years. Director Geoff Ryan delivers on the blood… and booze!

This movie was an unexpected gripper of a film. Set in a gambling town in the desert, this dark and beautifully shot vampire tale, takes the viewer on a wild journey into the night. It for sure delivers on the horror and humor of the genre, while also carving its own distinctive voice. While I wish the acting was a better, it lends itself to a kind of campy-ness that I am guessing must have been an intentional choice for the director... If you like Horror and vampire films, I definitely recommend!

This is not your usual vampire movie. This is about relationships, self-worth, self-doubt and questioning WTF it's all for. Wrapped as a vampire movie - and the most real of one too - it's a wild ride of its own. This is a really good movie. The second from Geoff Ryan, it feel more like his fifth or sixth in how driven, artistic and yet easy it is with no b.s at all.

Cool contemporary take on vampires. We needed an updated version rather than a period piece. Beautifully shot and actually a short of unrequited love.
